Solitude (Exterior)
I swept through the streets without notice
Impatient as the wind when the year begins to die
Wandered the Exterior for love and connection
Found the indifference of Outside
And when I passed through crowds
The insight revealed with a crushing blow
That I am inferior, a vagabond
Forever isolate, an island, alone
Autumn passed without notice
Feel the impatience of the wind as the year begins to die
Old windows rattle
A light from the street splays along your closed eyes
And when the Night finds you asleep in my arms
The insight was always revealed though reluctantly known
That I am inferior, a vagabond
Forever isolate, an island, alone
I’ve become as the Star
Surrounded by Life when viewed from afar
But, in reality, light years dead
And equally distant from my peers instead
