Praise be to Allah when I'm aiming for the stars
Leaving him in charge to look at my scars
Lead by a bird to reach what I think is peace
You'll know my wings are clipped if you see me in a bar
Maybe have some Mary in between my lips to ease my lisp
Slicing up the weed so there's no cuts on my wrist
High with a twist, won't be at a party
The feeling is hearty, it gets my mood started
Problems go departed and I'm leaving them else where
Writing it all down to go towards self care
Absorbing what I observe and let it out there
Proof of my days and that I'm really out here
It ain't easy but there's steps to it
Tip toeing round my words so I crept to it
Letting it all out not for more clout
But for the ease and to restrict more doubt
I rose out of trouble that runs in my mind
Keep on telling myself I'm one of a kind
Telling myself to be kind and not rewind
Living in the past will not keep me in time
I gotta stay on top of it like the prophet did
Find my way to the truth and keep a lock on it
So many obstacles making it impossible
No one besides you is really stopping you
Learning to silence that voice and make a choice
Going for yourself or chill with the boys
Do you want some peace or another Royce
Are you aiming for success or another invoice
