I think the best step to create
Is to accept your susceptible state
And right now as I write down thoughts
All I feel is the pressure and weight

A brave face is a mask for the sorrow
It’s your faith that I’m asking to borrow
Unless I stop always running from the past
I can’t keep chasing after tomorrow

Cos I feel like shit
Most of the time
All I’m looking for is a way up
But it seems like there’s no rope to climb

Every time that I open up
I keep hopin’ I’ll blow your mind
It’s like I just woke from a very deep sleep
Now I see that this world is goin’ blind

If you can see the inner me
Not just who I am on surface
Then you will be giving me
A beautiful sense of purpose

If you can see the inner me
Then you know I will

Always keep it real
Never make the truth my enemy
My cage cannot be sealed
I feel like music is the key

And chase goals with anticipation

With a world outside to explore

Because the cage is open
It’s familiar patterns that trap me inside
When you’re so used to livin’ with sadness
You start to feel like happiness died

Then you will be giving me
