NOBODY NOWHERE.
[Intro]
Through a true test of strength, I was presented with the valuable opportunity to grow into who I am. The hardest part of this whole ordeal was really re-teaching myself what it's like and why it's ok to be alone. If I'm being honest, when I had friends, I'd never felt more alone in my life. But allow me to make something perfectly clear. I would never have reached the finish line had it not been for Aaliyah, Rina, or Kelsey. And even though we gave each other everything, we don't owe each other anything. So I couldn't care less, as long as she's aware that there's risk in every decision. Only she knows what that means
[Verse 1]
They say if it ain't broke, don't fix it, bridges crumble as I cross them
Need a couple more ditches for all the love that I've lost with such a disconnect
The street lights blinding me like my thoughts
Blindsided by worst intentions, oh my, how we've grown apart
Crash dummies on every corner, the alley where C.R.A.S.H. is parked
Pushed a couple friends away
Was a hazard, but there's a spark in the madness
Yet a spike in the violence, cause everyone is a savage
They're inciting the riots, cause words are weapons to brandish
Apparently, by the pool where your parents be
Drowning your problems in a bottle, no growth for that family tree
I’m a landmine, bound to blow up and do damage, yet I’m on stand by
Kels had to go and I let it be
But I can’t lie and say I’ll be there when you find your way back
My future started yesterday, you should know why I say that
This world could never stop me
But I’ll never tell Aaliyah it’ll be ok, simply due to the fact I know it may not be
[Hook]
They can wish the worst on me
They can wish a hearse on me
That ain’t my concern, cause I know I’ll die worth something
Some will wish the best on me
Some will wish success on me
My name’s an alarm clock for anyone that slept on me
See, I’ve lost a lot but I ain’t even gon complain
Not a thing I’ve lost was more important than what I’ve gained
Catch an audience with words, breathe life inside the slain
Not a soul on this Earth will ever hold me down again, dawg
They can wish the worst on me
They can wish a hearse on me
That ain’t my concern, cause I know I’ll die worth something
Some will wish the best on me
Some will wish success on me
My name’s an alarm clock for anyone that slept on me
See, I’ve lost a lot but I ain’t even gon complain
Not a thing I’ve lost was more important than what I’ve gained
Catch an audience with words, breathe life inside the slain
Not a soul on this Earth will ever hold me down again
[Verse 2]
Dawg listen
When the chain is off, missing, this is danger, y’all tripping
Type of pain to cause someone to leave your faces all crimson
We decay as y’all witness bullets spray, they all hit them
Case the place in case they need to come and paint the wall with them
Twelve died and if you happen to divide
Then the six that carried you eventually lose their lives, I ain’t lying
Same phone you use to call the cops with
It’ll be that same phone when trigger’s pulled you’re getting shot with
So where your trust at?
Me and my friends were separated, shipwreck
I was told Heaven’s just a state of mind and now I get that
I watched Matthew die afraid of what would happen next
And now I’m seeing y’all pretend you’re fearless till you’re faced with death
I’m like “why panic?”
Seeing kids remind me of Aaliyah faced with obstacles that’s gigantic
They collide with ICE like the Titanic
Sons wearing a fools pants and daughters that ride, manic
Bullets penetrate like they got invited inside, frantic, mm
Holler back at me, dawg
Already told you I’m up next, why you asking me, dawg?
I used to pray for the city, but I’m just prey for the city
Well shoot, it’s my funeral, save the applause, you’ll never kill me
Kels, if you’re hearing this, it’s reached a fever pitch
But keep that love for me inside your heart, Aaliyah’s needing it
Cause this world could never stop me
But I’ll never tell my family it’ll be ok, simply due to the fact I know it may not be
