I was worn by the city until I finally let go
Drifted out to the Sierras on an empty road
And careless love
Won't get you far
I found a book of John Muir's
In an abandoned car
Mmm well the world was spinning so fast
Nobody took the time
It was the girl in the forest
Who opened my eyes
What part of nature can you honestly say
Is beyond your explanations for short term gain
Something's got to change before everything's
Gonna disappear right before our eyes
And we finally face ourselves alone in the forest
Where so much rides on which path we decide oh, mmm
