Night time has fallen and cold consumes the air
A beggar is waiting just outside the castle stairs
Years of wrong choices and a lifetime of sin
Had brought this man begging once again

Suddenly a stir a familiar sound he hears
Wondering and waiting if the king is coming near
But this night is different and he can't explain
For some unearthly reason the king calls him by name

He says sir I've heard you crying, and I've heard your desperate plea
Won't you take this gift I offer, won't you let it meet your need

And Jesus called me out by name
