Medicine For The World
Woke up in a strange land
A place I’ve never been
People smiling on the outside
But they’re dying from within
I went down the market
To find some food so sweet
And I saw the vendor smiling
Dancing to this tabla beat
Me travel from the East to the West and the West to the East
Opposite directions on the map
Only Christ
Can heal this disease
Only the cross can bridge the gap
He’s the medicine for the world
Only through He can we be healed
Contrasting religions
No two opinions are the same
Three hundred million gods they’re praising
I can’t keep track of all their names
I tell them about God’s love
And that Christ is Lord of all
We share the love of Jesus
When we give an altar call
Woya, who wants some healing in here?
Wayo, who wants some healing in here? Wayo, ah, ya ya ya ya ya
I saw a beggar on the sidewalk
Tattered bible in his hand
He was dying on the outside
But truly living from within
I’ve lived in a western world
Where so many are healthy
Yet so few they have truly seen
They’re dying of a sin disease
Me travel from the West to the East For the Prince of Peace
Opposite directions on the map
Only Christ
Can bridge this divide
Only the cross can fill the gap
