Still you don't recall the way it was before
Still we try to prove our worth in more
Than words could ever print on a page
To give some life to the weight
Of what we're living every day

Still the world it spins without permission
From all that ever is and never was
Here we sit, our eyes set agaze
At this thing that we've made with our hands and minds

This art is so subjective
This art is all we have
To prove that we were here at all

Driving down the road towards salvation
This place we've come to know isn't the same
Ten years changed our memories
And everything we knew has gone away
