Wrote a letter to my self and left it with the earth
And found a value for what all of my ideas worth
Could use the smoke to hide my heart so you can't read the hurt
From thoughts and feelings set aside to put another first
I know we sacrifice
I know that's never been what's gonna keep me up at night
I know you'll never understand but I think that's aight
Really a part of life
I never been a quitter
Never lost the will to fight
Still I might
But for myself
That's hittin differently
I made my peace
So I don't care if I'm an enemy
Where I'm from I heard they like to call that energy
I'm working on givin myself a little empathy

Learned to turn the pickles into condiments
Without needin a compliment To validate external accomplishments
I make a lot of points
I heard they make a lot of sense
I miss my winters
And growth that used to represent

In LA seasons just exist in your brain
I miss the rain
To come and wash away the spiritual stains
Opening up from the pain
Fixing the frame
Inside the seams of my memories
Taking out the scenes of my enemies

The smoke is always in abundance
I've only been reluctant
When the gentrifiers trying to conduct it
All that confrontation is redundant
I don't get the same dopamine as y'all from acting like a pundit

Talking like they speaking from the summit
Don't you know the moment that you think you found the top you start to plummet
I got too much heart to be a puppet
Knew that I was destined to do than gettin buckets
I just heard some niggas love it
So I figured I could put up a few
You tryna take a three but you been more consistent from two
What do you do when they dont listen to you

I pray for peace as these restrictions on my spirit rest
I face myself to find myself
it's a different test
Too grown for regrets
Tryna look back with pride
In retrospect and feel respect
When I reflect on my time
So what's it look like when we start to find the earth again?
When we start to find our earth again
Gotta start by finding worth again
