If you walk to the bay
When the night's outlasted the day
There's a passage of light
That seems to reflect you
On the face of the water
Where molecules purl
Softly, could only be you

Had to give up the drive
Left the car by the cliffside
For her mantle of light
Saying nothing, not touching
On the face of the water
To abandon and swirl
Godly, could only be you
