He stands alone
Wearied and dazed
Amongst the dead

After the battle
A silvery laugh
Resounds in his head

Swaying before him
A dazzling beauty
Calls out his name

Clad in gossamer
An ivory body
With golden mane

The Frost-Giant’s daughter

She lures him across
The far northern hills
Where two giants wait

Swinging their axes
To wrench his hеart

The fire in his blood
Shall warm her cold flesh
His eyes all aglow

She cries to her Father
And vanish enveloped
In blue icy flames

A wisp of gossamer
In his clenched fist
