Gatorville & Points East
In the summer when she laid down beside me
Finding shelter on a rainy day
She rolled over on the bed, smiling
Whenever she herself again then she ran away
She ran, she ran away
When I found her on the streets of Boston
A marketplace with some market price
I should have recognized the things about her
She wouldn't stay and she wouldn't fight
To those outside her line
They didn't look that much different
The closer you looked
The less you would see them
When she got tired she moved to Florida
Into Gatorville and Points East
Became a victim of the well of ideas
They meant nothing to her in the least
As the sun came up the sea was deserted
A strange and unpleasant sight
She's still searching for
Answers to questions
Left behind from her teenage years
When she ran away when she ran away
Listen to her shouting hoping for nothing
But when her time will come
Those outside her line will be only a memory
The closer you looked
The less you would see them
Those outside her line will be only a memory
The closer you looked
The less you would see them
