Bells Catalogue Blue

John Moore

Bells Catalogue Blue

You, me, the land, the sea that meets at blue horizon
Me you, all kinds of blue, the sea we rise from

You, me, the sky, the trees, the hills we fly from
Each day is new, eggshell blue, into the blue horizon

Me, you, Prussian blue
Wait it out, sit it out, that’s all we can do,
Feed your mind, read the signs, draw a line, use the time
It’s all about perspective

Bluebells rise in ancient skies when all the frosts are gone
Lovers lie all summer

You, me, the sky the trees
The leaves, the seeds that fall on the breeze
Go to sleep setting sun, your work here is done
And the birds sing goodnight - It will all be alright

Someday unexpectedly, this ship may have to sail
Is it waterproof or will it fail?

If you and I could part this sky and get to where we’re going
Leave behind this land of milk and honey

Swimming pools aren’t necessarily blue - Cerulean reflections
Odysseus dreaming of home - the true Aegean perfection!

If eyes are wise and hearts are smart
And nothing is for granted,
Care and feed it all it needs
And tend to what is planted

You and me, the land, the sea
That meets at blue horizon
Each day is new, Bells Catalogue
The dreams we rise from
