THE MOTHMAN

"Don't run away I'll keep you safe"
Was something he would tell the ones who're led astray
With red eyes
Like the sky
He drives them in
And watching as the bridge of life falls from within

The rattling
The in-between
Traveling to heaven's gate now
And now the bridge is collapsing
Under the weight of the dead
Once again
"Now stay with me so you'll never be falling in the river red"
The moth will take them all under his wing
To hide the horrid scene

There he stays
In eternal day
To stop the souls from wandering
Into their doom
And doing wrong in the eyes of god
The tyranny that Heaven brings
Is blocked by familiar wings

"Don't run away I'll keep you safe"
He tells the souls at Heaven's gates to change their fate
In sorrow, they follow straight into "Hell"
A hideout hidden in dirt and fire by Satan himself

There they stay
In eternal day
To stop the souls from wandering
Into their doom
And doing wrong in the eyes of god
The tyranny that Heaven brings
Is blocked by familiar wings
Hand in hand, they face the storm forevermore
