could never be warm,
when autumn has waned
and winter is born.
Single glazed windows,
won't keep the draft
away for long.
Watching birds and aeroplanes,
crossing the sky
and out of my frame.
Evening sounds,
from Hornsey Lane,
to which I am drawn.
