Being Alone on Valentine’s Day

Being alone on Valentine's day doesn't bother me
Normally, I don't exude lugubriosity
But this year I am curious
What it's like to feel blue
Though it may be spurious
I've got nothing else to do

And I'm gonna shed tear after tear
Not that I'm a lonely guy
But Valentine's comes but once a year
I might as well give it a try

So I'll partake in all the weeping whims that I can find
Maybe watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Or dress all grim and gruesome
And drive until I'm ill
Watch the happy twosomes
Whom, if I were truly lonely, I would probably want to kill
