Sometimes

Sometimes, sometimes, can't help tryna find a way
To try and unwind, know Im only five away
Sometimes I couldn't see through, it's my mind I'm tryna re do
Don't know where to go, I'm going home

Sometimes find myself inside another mind, think of home not knowing it's only over time
Growing close to something I know I hold inside, hit rewind telling stories over bottled wine
I'm alright just missin the one I kiss at night, miss the toaster that's broken and only burn one side.
Miss the way that my blinds leak a little light, bright side of waking up in time for the bus to ride
Miss the people that lift me up when I'm in the shit, comin' home interested in what I'm dealing with
The place where I dunk a Krispie in my cup of tea, keeping me warm when it's freezing and I'm feeling it.
Finding comfort in a bunch of brick and mortar, something sweet like Raro mixed in water.
I thought about the time fried off a quarter up all night talkin about takeaways tryna order

Sometimes, sometimes, can't help tryna find a way
To try and unwind, know Im only five away
Sometimes I couldn't see through, it's my mind I'm tryna re do
Don't know where to go, I'm going home

It's just a space where I keep all of my clothes in, making dinner and forgot the meat was frozen so, I crack a beer and relax on my own need to gap take it slow know my door is always open
That's my home you can find it on a GPS, in reality location shit is meaningless.
Figurin' out that the place that I go has been right inside myself underneath my skin and bone.
Overthinkin' bout everything like a place to be, couldn't tell that a place you don't need to see. Singin' songs in a space with a symphony is something like a feeling of acceptance universally.
Even though I know a space is nothing more than that, I'm missin' home and everything that come with that.
Try reminding myself it's all material crap, gotta go but just know I'm coming back.

Sometimes, sometimes, can't help tryna find a way
To try and unwind, know Im only five away
Sometimes I couldn't see through, it's my mind I'm tryna re do
Don't know where to go, I'm going home
