I will always be so grateful to my parents
For introducing me to Sondheim music at such an early age
And I'm very happy to say
That my son Nicholas is a huge Sondheim fan
And he has been for a very long time
When he was a baby, he had what I called the witching hour
And every day at about four o'clock, he would cry and cry and cry
And I tried singing to him to make him feel better
But nothing worked
Finally, I found the one song that did the trick
Of course, I was a little concerned
That the one song that would soothe my baby was from Sweeney Todd
