April Showers

The cold stream
Splash and then scream
My eyes twice their size
Could see tired light
The hot sting
Ears start to ring
Collapse to the knees
Float on out of reach
But I’ll stick my feet into the mud
And I’ll split the stream in two
And if you get stuck

Enter in the fog
Now April’s raining down
Shape-shift into the log
