The problem with the youth isn’t the music they hear
The problem is the shit that has been whispered in their ears
Since their early years
They cheer the wrong things that appear
Miss the opportunity to live among their peers
That’s something that really grinds my gears
It makes me shed a tear
But I see it loud and clear
They’re being driven by something else
Gotta grab the wheel and steer
They’re being driven by fear
Fear of the unknown
They can feel it in their bones
All across their soul
Fear hurts more than sticks and stones
Even though they’ve grown
It’s like they’re in another zone
Trapped behind a cellphone
Ironic that they need the bars to stay alive
Don’t feel a phone in their pocket then there’s no way they can strive or survive
As for me
I’ve been hungry all my life
But my fam in trouble
I start to finally realize why the wise man said
Nothing at all
Some situations are better without the talk of god
Some situations are better without a drop Of alcohol
And some situations are better without a set protocol
that’s only certain places
Let me get back to the subject
The subject of fears
Something that is still unclear
It clouds the atmosphere
But the fear can disappear with a couple shots and some beers
See they treat fear as a phenomenon that breaks down the individual
but truth is that fear can be something visual
It’s a way to dive deep into your memories
All the tragedies
And that’s what really fear is
Don’t let it overcome your mind
I know it’s hard sometimes
But you gotta know that you and I will always have fears
Always have fears
We’ll always have fears
