Man in the Corner
Have you ever had to give away the thing you love the most?
Like putting down your favourite pet
For sinking its teeth into a neighbours leg
Theres someone I used to know
That steals away in a puff of smoke
Slipped right out of my hands
And down a slippery slope
So I let him go
And I look at this man thats sat infront of me
And I remember the boy he used to be
But you just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
But I remember the boy he used to be
He walks in circles and he walks in squares
He speaks in tongues from the top of the stairs
I ask him if he'd like to sit and talk
He says he would but he has to walk
See the land on his nails
And the knots in his hair
Hear him laughing in the night
But no-ones there
Does anyone care?
And I look at this man thats sat infront of me
And I remember the boy he used to be
But you just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
But I remember the boy he used to be
The boy he used to be
The boy he used to be
The boy he used to be
The boy he used to be
And I look at this man thats sat infront of me
And I remember the boy he used to be
And I know its wrong
Cos I know hes gone
And thats how it leaves
And how the dog breathes
?
For a man who talks too much to himself
You just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
You just see the man in the corner
But I remeber the boy he used to be
