I live under your skin breed & breathe send out tendrils
thread an invasive network through your limbs infest
your insides with spores that might bubble out & through your skin
I live on your skin you breathe me in absorbed into
your bloodstream swim through capillaries attempt
to breach the blood-brain barrier & consume your thoughts
you sense me as bitterness you only know me because
of the taste the acrid twist of my bitterness that sours the thoughts
from your head scours the thoughts in your head
