City Lights

If it weren't for the city lights
Maybe then I could see the stars shine
But either way I suppose I'm glad that it's not dark tonight
And if it weren't for the car horns beeping
I would probably be sleeping
But I can't say if that is what I really need tonight
Or maybe it is, maybe you're right

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning
Technically you could call it today
Just a few more hours till I'll have to go away
After that I'll be gone for good now
Or at least for a couple of months and a day
I would like to think that it's not all that far away
