Misguiding Star

i am alone,
amidst the endless waves,
thundering storm
will crush my fragile boat
i will drown in this ocean
descend to the rocks below

drifting away
i raise my bloodshot eyes
one final gaze
at raging, tortured sky
only one star above me
cuts through the night

and as i fall
into the void
i curse the star
that brought my doom

lost direction, lost my way and my mind
fooled and blinded
cursed forever, since i took the first step
oath was broken
followed blindly, never opened my eyes
walked in darkness
poisoned promise, guiding light led me to
pain and damnation

dragged into cold
Stygian depth
world fades away
