Sober

Tanner Gardner

Now that the party is over
I don't want to be sober
Now that the party is over
I got this weight on my shoulders
Now that the party is over
I don't want to be sober
Now that the party is over
I got this weight on my shoulders
Shots around the clock, I can't stop, won't stop
Rooftop bar, reminiscing, tear drop
I plop on the couch, heart, ouch
Start pouting about the drought, can't get out, thunderstorm, grey clouds
Self-doubt been present, not a gift, no sentiment
I been stressed out, scream, shout, not listening
It's sickening to carry this around, stop bickering with me, can't you see that I'm down
Every single light flickering I'm fidgeting about like a kid with a phone but I'm prone to Frown
But like chicken meat I'm winging it
Known to start wringing these demons out the regions of my soul
Feet bottom get to stinging when my sole unsupported, my goals get aborted
But I'm sort of kind of sorting through a sore I been ignoring since the source of my ignorance is indifference to importance
Cuz when the void sets in, it'll be torture, law and order
So I avoid such things, face the horror, it's enormous
Cant enjoy small things, I have built myself a fortress called a closed mind
Mine'll open just fine but I go sometimes to a place I can't find in reality
In reality, I don't mind
Now that the party is over
I don't want to be sober
I got this weight on my shoulders
I don't want to be sober
