Surrendering your life, and leaving all behind
You pulled the trigger alone to curb the pain
Blinded by the light, the misery and fright
Deep down you knew the end would be the same

The pain hides deep inside, but it's not too hard to find
You made me someone I never wanted to be
Oblivious to the signs, I'm frozen in time
The blame's on you and I just can't set you free

Awake I lie, on a moonlit night, alone in my tomb
The gleam of those eyes & that lucid disguise, have left me in gloom

Carved impressions of your eyes, thaw my mind away
The lost souls you left behind are all ghosts of yesterday
Though this light burns my eyes, I will not be blind
