As I hear the funeral rites read around me
As last tear of dismay falls upon me and now
Visions of reality mark my journey
A lifetime of delusion burns before me
Holding on as my soul is torn away
Screaming out for mercy as I'm led astray
Holding on as my breath is wrenched away
Give this life of mine one last hallowed day
Facing, this trial, before me
Lying, this burden, surrounds me, numb my senses
Bleeding, this judgment, flays me
Fleeing, this torment, breaks me, time is no longer here
The past between the eyes whispering its regret
Never thought it would end, never thought it could end
The flight through the endless sky
The realization now as the river flows beyond
As the time slips away, as the night turns to day
And this feeling takes you high
