I opened up a window some years ago
To see if there was anything I did not know
In spite of my enlightenment, it seems I was blind
But some seeds got planted and they grew up inside
Now I can give you reasons for the hope that I have
This faith in Jesus is based on the facts
But you don't know what you're missing
Till you get a glimpse of something better

I could say so many things, spin convincing arguments
Fill you up with herbal tea and read from dusty documents
But if I make you stay up all night, still I can't make you decide
To pick up the evidence and put down some pride
