The open ocean, broken, smoking, seafoam harborside
It's underneath, what can't be bound, it's underneath, that you will find
A citadel in sleeping stasis, far below, a dreamlike place
It's taken with the testudines, to the bottom of the bay that we go

Then you don't see
Any way home
Any way back
Any life boat

Diving deep, it's getting darker
Down below, a little farther
What is sleeping in the water
At the bottom of the bay

The soaking merfolk, croaking, spoke in secrets in the quays
Of twilight temples lost to tides, of bygone ancient elder days
What lies below the waters gray, in half-dead dreams beneath the waves
Abyssal riddle's agony, to the bottom of the bay that we go
