Picture book stories films on the scream
Image of what they may have been
Here on the doorstep
That vision is here
War of the worlds the ultimate fear
Time stood still on the verge of midnight
The power is gone there won't be a fight
Cities in ashes the seas run red
Life disappeared though nothing was said

In the story book you stare
In life it's already there
You have walked an empty road
Never stepped out into the cold

Run away froum your fears
Run away from this life
Lie awake in your dreams tonight
Hide away all these years

People now running run for ther lives
Into the hills anywhere the'd hide
Now what's safe all sanctuary gone

Eyes in the sky seek the very last one
Few were spared and taken away
What lay ahead no one could say
Journey that would take us where
Life had gone who would care

Ask yourself if you are dreaming
Wonder what it's all about
We will never see the future
How far that we can go
A race to see what lies beyond

Live your life forget the shadow
