What is a song, my little sister asked me
I told her, why ask me
I don't know
Plus, I don't feel like singing

What is a song, she asked dad
But it just made dad a bit mad
My little sister never found out

Until one day she spied upon me
I was composing in the tub
She saw me
She heard me singing

What is a song, she asked mom
But mom just gave her some gum
My little sister was by now quite disillusioned

And so I sat her on the carpet
I sang her this new song and now
She thinks that all songs
They are like thissun'

What is a song, I ask her now
But she makes a face, opens her mouth
And tries to act like her big brother
