Fallen Angel

I captured an angel as she fell to earth
Her wing was broken her pulse near still but for what it's worth
She was the world's most beautiful angel that I had ever seen
But as she died her eyes opened wide, this was all a dream

There's no such thing as angels no matter what it seems

Later that very morning I entered that same dream
And like before through an open door I heard her distant scream
There was my fallen angel writhing in open pain
And as I tried to comfort her, she summoned out my name
