Atom Bomb

Richard Clapton

I last saw my baby,
Just before the siege,
ATOM BOMB
She was dancing,
Dancing in between the trees
ATOM BOMB

When the big flash came,
You could feel the heat,
ATOM BOMB,
We're two thousand years old,
But still trying to get free,
Of the ATOM BOMB,
Now a few old men
Who should be dead,
Are runnin' 'round screamin'
About fear of the Reds,
But I'd rather by a Communist,
Than honourably dead,
If peace don't come.

There's a problem with the ozone,
In this nuclear sea,
ATOM BOMB
And there's cracks in the Earth,
Where it used to be green,
ATOM BOMB
There's a sickness in our system,
From radiation in the air,
I'm gonna fight it in the streets,
'Cos it scares me to death,
and I'd rather be an anarchist,
than be honourably dead,
PEACE MUST COMEā€¦

Now a few old men
Who should be dead,
Are runnin' 'round screamin'
About fear of the Reds,
But I'd rather by anything
Than honourably dead
PEACE MUST COME
