This Body Isn't All There is to Who I Am

There's a voice I can hear, that's not my own
And it comes from a place void of fear
And it speaks out of love, wisdom and grace
And of things we should hold ever near

It's the sound of the wind, as it circles the night
And the raindrops on rooftops made of tin
It was there on the day, I came into this world
And will surely be there in the end

This body isn't all there is to who I am
What you see is the least of what you get
When my time runs its course, I'll return to the source
Till that day come what may not there yet

If I'd known what I know a long time ago
I might have made of my life something more
But then who's to say there was some other way
To open and close every door
