How I Feel

Jokes meant for fun or are they to shun?
Does it matter if it's merely to one?
Things we can't change are the targets in range.
Makes me wonder if I'll always be strange.
I don't know if I'll ever find my place.
Everyone moves on as I stay the same.
Should I go and laugh and honestly not care
cbout the jokes that they say, whispered in my ear?

The day goes on and I can't ignore,
How I feel when they all laugh for more.
We're always told we're supposed to be tough.
That's no license to say all of that stuff.

Pressure to decide swells up inside.
They say what matters most is to sport your pride.
If you don't know these secrets told,
It's seen as odd. They smirk and nod.
I don't want to do the things that they do.
It's so hard when I see my friends join in, too.
Sometimes I find myself unsure of what to do.
I trust in the Lord for He will see me through.

The day goes on and I can't ignore,
How I feel when they all press for more.
The things they say all weigh like steel.
Do you know this is how I feel?

Do you know how I feel?
Those things weigh, they weigh like steel.
Do you know how I feel?
Those things weigh, the weight is real.

I don't want to see you get hurt.
I care for you and I won't desert.
That is something I know with zeal.
Did you know this is how I feel?

Do you know how I feel?
Those things weigh, they weigh like steel.
Do you know how I feel?
I care for you. I care with zeal.
