Isaac Newton discovered gravity
But what was it that he couldn't see?
He thought he had it figured out
But he watched as the crowds all wanted to shout
"We didn't want this at all!"

He was alone in this new world
That he created
Where everybody was now on the ground
There were protests all around
Because they didn't want their feet to touch the ground
They didn't like the change
They all were so deranged
They just wanted it to go back up
But gravity's a subtle thing
Suddenly, they started to bring
Themselves back up
From the dust
And nobody could live on their own
They don't need no floating
They don't need no flying
They don't need no soaring into the night
(For they can live off on their own, alright)
