I dreamt that we were flying over big thickets of trees
I dreamt we lived next to nothing, the lights of the stars all there was
I dreamt that you’d sing me to sleep and, in the morning, touch my cheek and say

I dreamt of cities, fast. I dreamt of every animal
I dreamt of love that lasts

I pinched myself to see
