She was everything to me
So much so that I gave her my heart
Threw it away to the heavens
Should've left right then and learned my lesson

I don't know why
But there was something about her
That made everybody want to know her
She pulled you in, and got real close
Until she was the one that you needed the most
She could make you feel such a range of emotions
Threw you high in the sky, looking down at the ocean
But just as soon as you put a toe out of line
She could make you regret you were even alive
It's all such a blur, you know
Five years have passed and I still feel the hurt

I know it seems backwards
