Polarity

Andrew Downard

I inherit enternal flame
Passion from a tribal drum that pumps my veins
No mapping grids, or GPS can find this
Synchronistic, rhythmic, that's not parasitic
I would die to breathe again, it's carved into my skin
Accepted death, so here I am with everlasting breath
Clocking time signatures with the divine
All in rhyme, it will catch your soul or mind
Either way it comes out to lift a life
Promised to break the circles
Promised to wake the fertile
I hope what I say, calms your internal with my verbal
Take my journal, as your morning rehearsal
I think what I know man
Anxiety, can be a struggle and a juggle
We can overthink and over exam
Just take a few deep breaths
You just stressing, you not breathing at best
Get more oxygen into your brain
That's a better way to keep it straight when it feels insane
Realize the present, the moment
All there ever was is right now, so own it
Past and future don't exist
It's imagination, or memory
That got you feeling like this
Ask yourself, why am I feeling this way
When you figure it out, accept the pain
Just keeping it real homey
It starts with your mind
It effects your body, you find
It's called alchemy, with duality
Turn negative to positivity
With polarity
Understand the ying and yang
Can't have bad without the good
Opposites, but one in the same
It's a natural law of life
Stay strong through this ride

Believe in yourself
You got this
