Windows

Andrew Downard

I tend to be too much in my head
It's not that I wanna talk
I'm just intercepting my own dialect
It's something you can catch
I don't neglect, my intellect
That manifests the epithet that I progress
The first time I found the inner-being
It was frightening
A shadow figure formed out of the lighting
It told me this is you, head came unglued
When I found the biggest clue
Which is good and evil, fit in the same shoes
I'm only given 5 senses from what I'm told
And how I need their shit, to turn H2O into gold
I had to turn off that television, I couldn't sync
All I need is my own vision to think and perceive
I've been born to see beyond physicality
Intuition strong enough to change my reality
It's great to see my self leaving foot-prints
History is made when it clicks

Eyes are windows to the soul
Look into mine, see what's told
Eyes are windows to the soul
Look into mine, see what's told
Eyes are windows to the soul
Look into mine, see what's told
Eyes are windows to the soul
Look through mine

Now going down this rabbit hole is pretty much timeless
I've hit rock bottom so much, my ego is lifeless
Seems though I'm a contortionist
Bending my head to understand the unfortunates, and the coordinates
I don't care how dark a cave can be
Blindly use my pen and paper, I found a torch in me
Forget using pills, and psychiatrist bills
If my mind is strong enough to block it out
Then it's strong enough to feel
From what I'm told, I'm hard to figure out
I never understood until that mirror became a paramount
My outer skin never matched my zen
So I reversed the image to reflect my self within
Now I can have an outer life
With an infinite sight
Everything is meant to be the way it is
History is made when it clicks
You don't have to die, for heaven to begin
