Trees

Benjamin Lippert, Frank Eisensehr

Sitting down this tree all day
Wishing my worries far away
He can't see the sun through all those trees
And I can't see a tree for all its leaves
The leaves symbolize my thoughts
And sometimes they drop down from above
I pick them up and I wonder why
I shared my whole life with all these lies

Looking up in cloudy skies
Hoping someone would give advise
But then the clouds burst open and the rain
Washes all my worries back into my brain
I hate nature's way of doing things
And suddenly a man comes up to me and sings
That all is not quite what it really seems
And that I should stop living in a dream
