Hotwired on a Friday night
drove beyond every city light
took a look around at the unseen
from a letter and a photograph
I found trouble in a two-room shack
a lock with 88 keys that sings
I'm getting' high in Ojai again
caught between a lover and a friend
there's a red light in the church house
a full moon overhead
and Chloe bowed her head
She said Amen and I watched her pass
as she drank champagne through her looking glass
all I know is I sure could stand some fun
got back to a crowded house
where she took me in and she laid me down
I replayed every moment one by one
