Trouble

Del Bromham

If I smell trouble I walk the other way
If I see trouble I must protect my face
I need a stunt double to safeguard my fate
Looking for a rumble really isn't me

It's just not in me to run and hide
I say quite simply it's not my style
Better to turn and walk away
And live to fight another day

If I smell trouble I tend to cross the street
If I see trouble I'm nimble on my feet
One who is the loser is he who hesitates
No time for confrontation it's really such a waste

It's just not in me to run and hide
I say quite simply it's not my style
Better to turn and walk away
And live to fight another day

I've no jelly backbone-or no yellow streak
Got no white feathers-turn the other cheek
If all that snide talking goes on behind my back
It's really just like water off a duck's back !

If I smell trouble I walk the other way
If I see trouble I must protect my face
One who is the loser is he who hesitates
No time for confrontation it's really such a waste

It's just not in me to run and hide
I say quite simply it's not my style
Better to turn and walk away
And live to fight another day
