From Brownsville To Callow

Jason Briggs

From Brownsville to Callow my feet follow the cement the streets have sent
Drops of rain makes my face wet but I hear tunes and tones that make my feet go
Melodies and harmonies that put my stress at ease

Though I do not drive I still strive to find music to satisfy my feeble mind
I heard the buzz and I felt the touch of these tattoo machines and my skin says "Please!
Oh tattoo man with a beard I know your breath still smells like beer
But won't you put some ink on my skin please
Color me greedy or pretty, whatever you see

From Brownsville to Callow my feet follow the cement the streets have sent
Drops of rain makes my face wet but I hear tunes and tones that make my feet go
Melodies and harmonies that put my stress at ease

In my suburban hike into the urban night, I see a lot of those in need
And i smelt the green and I smoked the leaf but the taste of liquor still puts me at ease
And if you ever feel lonely Elmo's got what you need
But at the Chuck is where you'll find me listening to my friends sing

From Brownsville to Callow my feet follow the cement the streets have sent
Drops of rain makes my face wet but I hear tunes and tones that make my feet go
Melodies and harmonies that put my stress at ease
