Letter

As if you just fell in with those who look down their nose
And I can't stand to hear his prosing, again
It's so antithetical, completely unpoetic
So I'll just sit this one out
It's inevitable, the atmosphere's so terrible
Extensively, pretentiously - no

Oh and I don't wanna be the fool
Oh and I don't wanna lose my cool
But the way his face twists, when he smiles, it's offensive

I could try to pretend that it doesn't bother me
But by the time the night's ended, I could probably
Have found a way to forget about him
There's a better way without him anyway

And I struggle to breathe, unless I'm smoking
And the difference between his 'joking' and provoking
I'm hoping I notice

And it's not my fault that he makes me so uncomfortable
And it's not my fault that he thinks he's so above us all
