Lonely World

… and I’m thinking ‘bout the person I’ve become,
all that I love about me, all that I hate.
Do I think that I deserve to be the one to guide another, to guide a life?
Sometimes I think that I just fell into myself like an imposter who jumped the gate.
But I know I gotta put it on a shelf for the moment as I wait

to bring you into a lonely, lonelier, cold little world.
After all, it’s such an only, only us, only us world, and it’s starting again.

… and i know that you’ll accept it as it is,
seed it first with virgin eyes, await the harvest like I do.
But it’s no ordinary moment for the world we’re afraid of, y’know we’re lost.
Sometimes I think I live inside the lion’s mouth, a lonely shepherd. Is it too late

to bring you into a lonely, lonelier, cold little world?
