I wake up and roll out of my bed
And then I brush my teeth and then I comb my head
Eat my Wheaties and I go to work
Where people treat me like a fucking jerk

And when it’s getting close to quitting time
That’s when I really start to come alive
I race home and have a drink or two
That’s when I get the urge to listen to

A song that any idiot can sing
A song that isn’t going to let you down
Because it isn’t about anything

So put the needle down and let the noise fill up the room
Throw all your cares away and dance around like a baboon

So let me give you some of my advice
When the world ain’t treating you so nice
And all you want to do is kill yourself
Just grab that dusty record off the shelf

And listen to another stupid song
