I Don’t Wanna Go To Arkansas

When I was 23 years old
I spent three days in Arkansas in May
Now with the benefit of hindsight
There's only one thing I gotta say

I don't wanna go to Arkansas again
Too many strip malls and not enough sin
Too many Walmarts and not enough girls
But at least on the radio they still play Willie and Merle

Now I suppose I should be reasonable
I suppose I should be fair
I've found it's much worse in Kentucky where they yell
"Boy, you should cut that hair"

But, I don't wanna go to Arkansas again

But it's hard to come home with real good stories
