It ain't my fault I'm beautiful

The Ghost Of Lemora

Waking up, just in time, to be late again
Spend hours on my hair and then it rains.
Memories of everything clouded with regret.
When your down your ways are always set.

It ain't my fault that I'm beautiful,
I guess you're only human, just like me.
Been 'round the town and messed around,
Now you've come back for more.

That was then but now it's history.

I've always stumbled from darkness to despair,
It all comes apart with perfect ease.
Can only learn the hard way, ignore the advice I hear,
Life ain't much without these travesties.

It ain't my fault that I'm beautiful,
I guess you're only human, just like me.
Been 'round the town and messed around,
Now you've come back for more.

That was then but now it's history.
Such beauty brings with it such pain,
Narcissistic, self-centred and vain...
And sarcasm is just not my style.

My luck is bad, I shrug it off, it's just another scar,
Rejoicing in such shallow victories.
And if we do reincarnate then it's guaranteed,
I'll return as me.

'Cos it ain't my fault that I'm beautiful,
I guess your only human, just like me.
Been 'round the town and messed around,
Now you've come back for more.

That was then but now it's history.

It ain't my fault that I'm beautiful,
I guess you're only human, just like me.
Been 'round the town and messed around,
Now you've come back for more.
That was then but now it's history.

You're beautiful.
I'm human after all.
I'm beautiful.
My poster's on your wall.
