Do you remember when she'd follow us around
With stars in her eyes all over the town
Showing up every place we went
Pretending like it was an accident?
I thought she was pretty lame
When I tried to figure out her stupid game
Soon enough, I would find what was really on her mind

Attempts to climb the social ladder
But no one was paying much attention
Trying hard with things that hardly mattered
And was somewhat embarrassing

With a new look and an attitude
That went against everything I once knew

In such a short time much had changed

I must admit I was a bit surprised, taken aback
To be greeted with a roll of the eyes and a condescending laugh
